I think picture day was a success! They will be online, but not for like 10 days, so be patient and I’ll try to remember to send out an email at that point. Or post the access code here maybe. When I go back to pick them up, we’ll have pretty pictures AND our holiday cards should be all ready for us as well. BEFORE THANKSGIVING. It’s almost too good to be true. LOL. I will NOT have to do all of that myself this year! It was probably about as pleasant as it could be since we went pretty early on a Monday morning; there wasn’t a crowd at all. It was the first time we’ve taken the kids anywhere for pictures, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Michael did say “no” a lot, and I was a bit worried that I’d have to bring him back in again. But he behaved enough to get some really cute shots! He was rewarded with stickers and graham crackers.

I’ve even done a little Christmas shopping for the kids! Got Michael some additional stuff for his Geotrax while I was shopping for the holiday photo outfits at Target. And a few other things I’ve picked up. Wow, I’m so ahead this year. MaryBeth needs some ridiculously cute pony something or other. Will have to see what I can find for her I might even get her some new bed sheets….wow toddlers can make sheets gross. lol.

I got the pictures up in the October section of the gallery. We are attempting family portraits today at JCPenney. Wish us luck! Could be interesting.

We had a great Halloween! The weather was so perfect here, a little cool, but didn’t need jackets or anything at all. I got off of work early to come home and do the trick or treating with the kids. MaryBeth was a butterfly (purple of course!) and Micheal was a scarecrow. They were both over-the-top adorable! I’ll try to get the pictures up tonight. The kids did so great trick-or-treating that I didn’t even have to come back and hand out candy.

We just had a nice visit from Adam’s parents and his Grandma over the weekend. I updated the photo gallery with some pictures from the weekend (they’re in the 2008-October album). We went to the pumpkin patch just near our house, we took Grandma to mass on Sunday morning, we ate lots of delicious food, and I think a good time was had by all!

I cut the kids’ hair lastnight, they definitely needed it! They both look decent, I think. LOL MaryBeth was disappointed that we weren’t going to go to the haircut place. Michael didn’t care. Great-Grandma asked if he had ever had a haircut, I thought that was funny because he has had a WHOLE BUNCH of haircuts, the hair just keeps growing and growing!

We’re having a crazy busy week, MaryBeth is in her second week (out of three) of swimming lessons. She’s having a great time with that, her daycare takes her class on the van to the YMCA on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The kids are also having fieldtrips to another pumpkin patch on Thursday, I should be able to make it to that with them.

We’re all going to be hanging out at home today because MaryBeth had a fever when she woke up from nap time at school. How did they realize she was sick? She actually took a nap, a LONG nap, and wasn’t bouncing off the walls when she woke up. LOL They called me to pick her up early, but she didn’t want to come home, she was sad to leave her friends, and made this big, dramatic, tearful exit. She is perfectly fine, but has to stay home from school for 24 hrs. I think Adam is taking half day of sick leave and then the babysitter will still watch them in the evening. We were going to have a fun playdate this morning, too! Obviously this changes plans for the day.

After about a week of rain, we’re supposed to have a very nice week of sunshine. I was sick over the weekend, nothing major, just super tired and a sore throat. I’m pretty sure that’s what MaryBeth has now. So I haven’t done anything recently, just slept a lot. We watched a new episode of Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles. You all have to be watching that. It’s way good.

My mom sent me a text message yesterday to let me know she was ok after the hurricane. Who knew she could text? LOL I was highly amused. I’m glad she did though because I was pretty worried about her.

I’ve suddenly developed a serious affinity for Cheez-It’s. For real. I even bought a box at the store yesterday. Has that ever happened before? And Fudge Graham Zone bars. That’s what I’m going to have for dinner tonight. Looking forward to it. Maybe lunch also. . .
